Corporate Retreat in the Mountains: Disconnect to Grow

Adrenaline Adventures

There is a reason the world's most innovative companies bring their teams to the mountains: it works. Away from desks, notifications and meeting rooms with fluorescent lights, something happens. People actually talk to each other. Ideas flow. The walls between departments crumble. And when you return to the office, something has changed — in the team and in yourself. Here is how to organise a corporate retreat in the Dolomites that truly makes a difference.

Why the Mountains Work for Corporate Retreats

This is not just romanticism. Scientific research confirms what intuitive leaders have always known:

  • Digital disconnection: limited phone coverage in many alpine areas becomes an advantage. Without the constant stream of emails and messages, the brain enters a more creative and reflective mode
  • Nature and creativity: according to University of Utah research, spending time in nature increases creativity by 50%. The Dolomites, with their breathtaking panoramas, are the perfect creative laboratory
  • Shared adventure: facing a challenge together — like the zipline — creates bonds that months of office work cannot build
  • Slow down to speed up: the mountain pace forces you to slow down, and paradoxically this slowdown produces deeper and more lasting results

We offer customisable retreat packages for groups of 10 to 50 people. Every retreat is designed to measure based on team objectives: cohesion, strategy, innovation or simply regeneration. Contact us for a personalised quote.

The Programme: 3 Days that Change Team Dynamics

Day 1: Arrival and Connection

Afternoon: arrival in San Vigilio di Marebbe. Check-in at the chosen accommodation (we have various lodging options for groups of every size). Free time to explore the village and breathe the mountain air.

Evening: welcome dinner at a malga reachable via a short walk. Traditional alpine cuisine dishes, local wine, no PowerPoint presentations — just people sharing an authentic meal with the Dolomite panorama as the backdrop. This is when the office masks start to fall.

Day 2: Workshop and Adventure

Morning (9:00-12:30): workshop session in a dedicated space with mountain views. The format depends on your objectives:

  • Strategy retreat: vision alignment, OKRs, strategic planning
  • Innovation sprint: structured brainstorming, design thinking, rapid prototyping
  • Team alignment: communication, conflict management, roles and responsibilities

The mountain setting makes the difference: ideas born while gazing at the Dolomites carry a different quality from those produced in an anonymous meeting room.

Lunch: break at a local restaurant with regional dishes.

Afternoon (14:30-17:30): this is where the magic happens. The Adrenaline Adventures zipline — 7 runs through the mountains, with breathtaking views over the Val Badia — becomes the perfect metaphor for the team's leap forward.

The zipline is a tremendously powerful team building tool. It requires no athletic skills, but it does require courage — and courage is contagious. When you see your colleague launch off the platform (perhaps the one who seems quietest in the office), something shifts in the group dynamic. Our corporate team building stories speak for themselves.

After the zipline, further team activities of your choice: guided hike, mountain biking, or simply relaxing and sharing the experience over an aperitivo.

Evening: free dinner in the village. At this point the team spontaneously chooses to stay together — the sign that the retreat is working.

Day 3: Reflection and Departure

Morning (9:00-11:00): closing session. Reflection on the experience, concrete takeaways, mutual commitments. This is the moment to turn the insights born during the retreat into concrete actions to bring back to the office.

11:00-12:30: closing brunch with local produce. A final convivial moment before departure, to consolidate the bonds created and lock in the decisions made.

Afternoon: departure. But something has changed, and everyone feels it.
